Charity Event Details
Further to our last post, we now have finalised details for our upcoming charity event, in collaboration with Sussex Rock School. The event will be a combination of Sussex Rock School’s Christmas concert (approx 45 mins of student rock performances), followed by a one and a half hour set by Saxonized. The venue is the Chequer Mead Community Arts Centre in East Grinstead on Wednesday 7th December, with a start time of 7.45pm (aiming for a 10pm finish). Tickets need to be purchased, in advance, from the Chequer Mead box office, which can be contacted on 01342 302000. Ticket prices are £10.00 for adults, £5.00 for students (with valid student I.D.). All profits from the event will be going to Phoebe Scopes’ fund, raising money to pay for life saving stem-cell treatment for Phoebe, who is very ill with multiple sclerosis.
This event is very important to Saxonized. Phoebe is the wife of Chris Scopes, good friend of Saxonized bass player Nige (Chris also plays bass, for a britpop cover band called ‘Distant Echo’), and Saxonized drummer Al teaches drums at Sussex Rock School. Please, please, please, support this event: Phoebe is a lovely young lady who deserves and needs all the help she can get to fight this awful disease.
